International Financial Markets: Rapid changes in the global financial markets over the past few decades have dramatically altered the requirements and contents of legal studies. With the development of new financial instruments such as derivatives and international hedge funds as well as the entirely new requirements from regulators, there is an urgent need for professionals to be trained in these qualitatively new and rapidly evolving areas of legal practice.
This course familiarizes the students with the main financial products in International Markets like Fixed Income, asset securitizations and derivatives (swaps, credit default swaps, options and futures). The course aims to close the gap between theory and practice with regards to market mechanisms, the supervision of these markets and the protection of international investors and other market participants.
